Hedgerow plants are the gatekeepers between the worlds; they have  long history that is steeped in folklore and enchantment. From myth, magic and medicine, hedgerows have the ability to help one to fortify boundaries and cross the threshold of liminal time and space.

 

During this 3 day on-the-farm retreat, we will be exploring, playing and evoking the energies of several different hedgerow plants such as:

 

• Wild Rose (& Rosa spp)

• Elder

• Poplar

• Meadowsweet

• Blackberry

• Hawthorn & others

 

Together we will be making several different plant medicines using fresh whole plants, preparations will include:

 

• Elixirs

• Flower Essences

• Hydrosol/Distillation

• Infused Herbal Oil & More

 

This retreat is for those who are interested in the esoteric and energetic side of working with plants as medicine. There will be threads of biology, alchemy, historical context, agriculture/ecology, magic & ritual that will be woven into the tapestry of our weekend together.
