Latin Name: Verbena officinalis
An ethereal perennial with tall spikes of small white/pink flowers. In traditional Western and folk herbalism, vervain has been used as a nervine and bitter tonic also associated with supporting the nervous system, easing tension and stress, and promoting relaxation without sedation.
Historically used for emotional overwhelm, mild anxiety, headaches, hot flashes and sleep support, as well as to encourage healthy digestion and liver function. Often described as a gentle but deeply balancing herb.

Planting: Spring or fall. Cold stratify 30 days for best germination. Direct sow or start indoors; surface sow or cover very lightly
