Narrowleaf Plantain (Plantago lanceolota)

This herbaceous perennial can be used topically to burns, insect  bites and stings.  The young leaves of plantain are edible and the fresh juice  can  be  used as a quick  spit poltice  on minor wounds. Often considered a roadside weed, this plant is a valuable, adaptable and easy to grow herbal medicine.​
