There is so much to love about Lovage!
Traditionally a culinary herb, it has also been used in western herbal medicine to help digestion, support as a natural diuretic and ease inflammation within the body.
As a diuretic it is useful in kidney stones and gout; also a wonderful supporting plant for the lymphatic system. The entire plant is edible and can be used medicinally, from roots to aerial parts. Lovage contains a significant amount of quercetin making it an incredibly helpful plant to use for seasonal allergies.
An easy to grow addition to the garden.

Planting: Sow seeds in flats in Spring, Keep soil moist, transplant out 24" apart
